说说状语从句

英语的复杂归根结底是修饰成分的复杂，是定语和状语的复杂。 状语从句的用法，除了请大家及时复盘之外，这里再补充一些：

地点状语从句

where 既可以作为关系副词引导定语从句，也可以作为连词引导地点状语从句，如何对二者进行区分呢？

看句子结构：
where 引导的是定语从句，其前面必然有表
示地点(或抽象地点)的名词，即先行词；

若 where 引导的是地点状语从句，其前面则
没有表示地点的名词。

例：The book shop where I bought this book is not far from here.(定从）

Make a mark where you have any doubts or questions.（状从）

看 where 的作用：
当 where 引导定语从句时，指代地点名词，在定语从句中作地点状语，修饰的是从句的谓语

当 where 引导地点状语从句时，where 在从句中不充当地点状语。其所引导的地点状语从句修饰的是主句的谓语，充当的是主句谓语的地点状语成分。

例：This is the house where I lived two years ago.
定从修饰 house

I found my books where I had left them.
状从修饰 found

时间状语从句

除讲义上列出的连词外，还有：

before VS after

表示两个时间或事件之间的先后关系。

例：They had got everything ready before I arrived.

After he had worked here for 5 years, he went abroad.

the moment, as soon as, immediately, once,the instant 等一其引导的从句

表示从句动作一发生，主句动作随即发生，“一。。。就”

例：She told me the news immediately she got the message.
I’ll come as soon as I’ ve finished dinner

since - 其引导的从句

多用非延续性动词，主句中用完成时态

例：Since he graduated from the college, he has worked in this city.
