OEM HOOK Changes in Android O
As part of HIDLization in Android O, OEM HOOK socket is replaced with HIDL interface.
Request, response and indication HIDL files for OEM HOOK are present in vendor/qcom/
proprietary/interfaces/radio/qcrilhook/1.0/ folder.
OEM HOOK clients are NOT impacted with the above HIDL changes since only socket
interface is changed to HIDL.

As part of HIDL limitation, the max size of a transaction is 4k.

Steps to extend OEM HOOK interface in Android O:
OEM HOOK client implementation remains same as earlier releases of Android.
HIDLized OEM HOOK service implementation is present in vendor/qcom/proprietary/qcril-hal/
qcril_qmi/oem_socket/ folder.
Define the new OEM HOOK request in qcril_qmi_oem_reqlist.h:
#define QCRIL_REQ_HOOK_TEST (QCRIL_REQ_HOOK_BASE + xx)
Define the event handler in qcril_qmi_oem_eventList.h:
QCRIL_LEGACY_EVENT(HOOK_TEST, qcril_test, &QCRIL_GRP_OEM_HOOK,
QMI_RIL_ALLOWED_IN_ALL_STATES);
Define the event mapping in qcril_qmi_oem_events.cc:
qcril_qmi_oem_hook_map[QCRIL_REQ_HOOK_TEST] = QCRIL_EVENT_HOOK_TEST

OEM HOOK handler function to be defined in appropriate module in vendor/qcom/proprietary/
qcril-hal/modules/ folder.
Ex: Refer to qcril_qmi_nas_dsds_request_set_tune_away() implementation in vendor/
qcom/proprietary/qcril-hal/modules/nas/src/qcril_qmi_nas.cpp
